Terms of use (beta)
Who we are
Padwork is made by a sole trader registered in Poland (full details on request), support@getpadwork.app.
The beta
During the beta, Padwork is free to use. It is unfinished software: features may change, and it may contain mistakes. Please report problems to support@getpadwork.app.
Your EP-133 and your data
Padwork can change the projects and sounds on your EP-133 when you allow it to write. It saves a copy of each project in your browser before changing it and checks every change by reading it back, but it can't rule out every failure. Before using it to make changes, make a full backup in the app (Backup tab) and keep it somewhere safe. Writing is switched off until you switch it on, and stays locked on EP-133 firmware the app hasn't been tested with unless you allow that version.
Music and sounds you use
You are responsible for having the rights to the recordings and samples you load into Padwork. Splitting or transcribing a song doesn't change who owns it: the parts and notes taken from someone else's recording are theirs too. What you create with Padwork is yours.
Liability
The beta is provided free of charge and as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of data or projects, or for indirect damage, arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your country that can't be waived.
Not teenage engineering
Padwork is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed or supported by teenage engineering. EP-133 and K.O. II are their trademarks, used here only to say which device Padwork works with. Please don't contact teenage engineering support about Padwork.
Open-source parts
Padwork uses open-source software and models under their own licenses, listed in THIRD-PARTY.txt.
Changes and law
These terms may change; the date above shows the current version. Polish law applies, without taking away the protection given to consumers by the law of the country they live in.
